OTF Jam Says He Wanted the Mission Stopped—But His Memory Suddenly Gets Foggy After the Shooting

Now, this is where OTF Jam’s testimony gets even more interesting.

Jam spent Thursday walking jurors through the final moments leading up to the shooting that killed Saviay’a “Lul Pab” Robinson. According to him, three vehicles were following Quando Rondo’s black Escalade around Los Angeles, trailing him from a marijuana dispensary to a Beverly Hills clothing store and eventually to the gas station near the Beverly Center.

But Jam claims the plan kept changing—and he was no longer comfortable with how things were unfolding.

He told jurors that he reached out to OTF DeDe because DeDe was close to Lil Durk and might be able to get the mission called off. That is an interesting claim coming from someone who has already admitted he participated in the operation.

Then everything allegedly happened faster than expected.

Jam testified that David “Browneyez” Lindsey jumped from the stolen white Infiniti—referred to as the “hot car”—and started shooting before Jam believed they were in the proper position. Jam said he attempted to catch up because he thought they were supposed to move closer to Quando’s vehicle before anyone opened fire.

But here is the part Lil Durk’s defense will probably circle in red: Jam remembers the vehicles, the stops, the changing plan, and who allegedly started shooting—but says he cannot remember getting into the black Escalade used after the attack.

Wait…what?

That does not automatically make his entire testimony false, but it gives Brian Steel an opening. How can Jam recall certain moments in sharp detail while drawing a blank during such a critical part of the escape?

Jam also wants jurors to believe he tried to stop the mission before the gunfire began. Prosecutors may present that as proof that he is finally being honest. The defense may argue it is Jam’s attempt to make himself appear less responsible while placing more of the blame on Durk, DeDe, and Lindsey. And that is where Friday’s cross-examination could get messy.

Durk has pleaded not guilty and denies ordering or financing the attack. Jam’s account is sworn testimony, but it remains his version of what happened—not a verdict.
